The council has won its bid for more external funding to help provide a new £2.1m all-weather pitch in Battersea’s Falcon Park to boost sports participation and leisure facilities for the area’s young people.
The Victorian-style metal railings which surround the park have been restored at a cost of £90,000 – using funds generated when the park hosted the Formula E electric motor car racing events.
