Kirsten Botting has been a proud Wandsworth resident for over 30 years and has lived in Tooting Bec for the past 32 years with her husband and son. She moved to the borough in her twenties at the start of her career in the City and quickly fell in love with its strong sense of community and quality of life. Having experienced Wandsworth as a renter, homeowner, professional and parent, Kirsten understands first-hand the everyday issues that matter most to local residents.
Kirsten is a proven community leader who believes that strong neighbourhoods don’t happen by accident — they are built by people who show up and get things done. She chairs her ward’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team and Neighbourhood Watch Panel, working closely with residents and police to improve local safety. She is also a longstanding member of the Tooting Commons Management Advisory Committee and is actively involved in protecting and improving local green spaces, including serving as a Tree Warden and volunteering with Friends of Tooting and Wandsworth Commons.
A hands-on volunteer, Kirsten regularly supports food bank collections, community litter picks and local charities. She has raised funds and organised events for causes including Small Steps, the Royal British Legion, Labrador Rescue, Baton of Hope, and her son’s schools and partner charities. Kirsten’s record is simple and consistent: listening to residents, standing up for the community, and delivering practical action where it matters.
