Protect Wandsworth’s parks and commons

Labour-run Wandsworth Council recently submitted several licensing applications via its parks contractor Enable to introduce large commercial events to Wandsworth’s parks and commons. Among them was Wandsworth Common (WK/202475566) and King George’s Park (WK/202475205)

The Council eventually withdrew the application after hundreds of local residents objected.

The application risked damage to the park, higher management costs, and loss of access for residents. We believe this is wrong and have launched a petition calling for Wandsworth Council to guarantee they will not reintroduce their plans for 10,000 person events on our parks and commons.

Sign the petition and help us protect our green spaces for sport, exercise and enjoyment rather than see them damaged to make up for the Council’s wasteful spending.
