Wandsworth Council has been named as the first local authority in London to offer 50 per cent of its council owned properties access to full fibre broadband, cementing its place as one of the fastest boroughs in the capital for broadband speeds.
A £30,000 facelift at a popular but previously dimly-lit pedestrian and cycling short-cut underneath railway arches near Battersea Park is nearing completion as part of a council-led improvement scheme.
The bridges have been cleaned and repainted in an attractive heritage-style railway green – and at the council’s request – the name of the station has been stencilled on both bridges to recreate their original Victorian-era appearance.
