Town hall approves plan to reduce rents for council tenants

Council tenants in Wandsworth will see their weekly rents reduced from April, councillors have agreed.

At their meeting on Thursday evening, councillors on the housing overview and scrutiny committee backed a plan to reduce rents by at least one per cent in the next financial year.

Residents encouraged to apply for local construction jobs

Local residents interested in working in the construction industry are invited to a recruitment event on 31 January.

There are over 5,000 jobs being created in Wandsworth with opportunities on development sites within Wandsworth and the Nine Elms area.
